  • The first day of classes is  Monday,  Auguat 29.
  • Labor Day, Monday September 5.
  • The last day to drop/add (tuition refund available) is Monday, September 12.
  • Fall Break  and Thanksgiving Holidays  is Monday, November 21 - Friday, November 25.
  • The last day to withdraw (no refund) is Tuesday, October 25.
  • The last day of classes is Monday, December 12.

We will cover most of the sections in Chapters 5 - 7 and Chapter 11
Chapter 5:   Integrals
Chapter 6:   Applications of Integration
Chapter 7:   Techniques of Integration
Chapter 11:  Infinite Sequences and Series




Exams



There will be two common midterm exams and a comprehensive common final exam. The dates are:
Test 1: Thursday, October  6,  5:50 PM - 7:20 PM
Test 2: Tuesday, November 15,  5:50 PM - 7:20 PM
Final Exam: Thursday, December 15, 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM



Exam Security
Policy
The use  of personal electronic devices such as phones, computers, smart watches is prohibited during exams.  All such items must be stowed in your bags for the duration of the exam.  Any student found with such a device NOT stowed away at any time during an exam (whether the student used it or did not use it - does not matter) will NOT be allowed to complete the test, will receive a score of zero for the test, and will be reported to the Student Code of Conduct Board. 

In addition, you may NOT bring in any kind of papers for use during the exam.  If you need extra paper during a test, the proctor will provide it.  Any student found using papers that he/she brought into the exam will NOT be allowed to complete the test, will receive a score of zero for the test, and will be reported to the Student Code of Conduct Board.


Review
Assignments

Important:  you will have two Review Assignments (both on WebAssign): Review 1(based on Sections 4.9 and 3.4)  will be given on the first week of the semester and Review 2(on limits) will be given right before we start Chapter 11 on infinite series. The grade for each review assignment will be counted as 1% of your Course Average.


Quizzes / Homework
Part of your homework will be assigned on WebAssign and will be graded by the computer.
Your instructor will inform you
how often the other part of the homework will be collected
and
how regularly you will have in-class quizzes.


Calculator
Policy
No calculators, including cell phone calculators, will be allowed on the exams and on
most of  your quizzes.
